With Tracy in Stuttgart-Germany 2016
In the year 2016 I met Tracy for the first time in Stuttgart-Germany. I have a great admiration for this amazing violinist from the States. I had the privilege to show him my instruments because he was there for a couple of concerts with the State orchestra and Stuttgarter Ballet. So I thought to drive all the way to the south. So I did, and I’m glad I did because I not only met him, but also studied his fine instruments too. And later that evening I witnessed an amazing concert. John Adams, Dharma at big sur, my favourite electric violin concerto!
A year before I already sent Tracy my 6 string Violtar with the sharktheeth profiled fingerboard. But here Stuttgart I had finally the chance to talk to him. I felt so fortunate I will never forget this, what a wonderful person and great musician. And he allowed me to study his instruments, make measurements and detailed pictures.
Back home in my workshop I was able to make a design he would probably prefer playing even more. So I made some changes in the construction of the body and designed a wooden framework with carbon material to create more flexibility and better vibration of the strings.
