The Marsch Impromptu

Dear reader,

Because as a result of an exciting year of research in 2014 I was able to compose the middle part of a Rock Opera dealing with the search. You have to realize, my heart went racing everytime I discovered something new about the Marsch-Impromptu music score,the rune-signs and Mittenwald during my research. I couldn't share this with a lot of people, and it sometimes drove my friends and family crazy. But I had to tell someone, and out of that desperate need and restless feeling I started composing the music and writing the lyrics. I’m a musician that is my job and therein lies my heart. A Rock Opera was something I had been planning to write for years, but time and a good story were lacking, until now. I did have one hell of a story, so I was in for a lot of late evenings to create an exciting and compelling musical epic. A Rock Opera about the secret code and my quest for a mysterious treasure of diamonds and gold hidden somewhere in a valley.

Writing down all the dialogues that were already in my head took me a lot of time, because it had to be just right. I eventually converted the dialogues into lyrics and melodies, the final libretto.
The characters you hear are actually all the voices, characters and thoughts which whirled through my head during my quest. Including all my fantasies with the theory and the ancient story. I was not only the searcher, but also the creator, visionary, messenger, hunter, finder, dreamer, and storyteller. There are no Rock Operas in this form yet as far as I know, so it was a real challenge to create this middle part.
